Modern Hebrew

Biblical Hebrew

Academic convention
Read and parse the Hebrew text first; transliteration is secondary.
ISRAHEB uses readable pedagogical transliteration and does not present it as a full reconstruction of Tiberian pronunciation. Masoretic pointing, morphology, syntax and discourse context control the analysis.

Key points

Unlimited Practice. Every lesson has a separate 30-question Practice bank. Each attempt draws 10 questions. Reach 10/10 once to unlock the next lesson; Practice never consumes scholarship eligibility.

Pronunciation Practice

Unlimited speaking practice. Listen first, then tap the microphone and pronounce the Hebrew. Modern Hebrew uses the Modern Israeli target; Biblical Hebrew follows the selected Sephardic reading tradition.

Mastery checklist

The Scholarship Final Exam has 10 questions: 8 written + 2 pronunciation tasks. Pronunciation pass threshold: 85%, with up to 2 attempts per speaking question. Time limit: 15 minutes. One scholarship attempt per lesson.
